How do you get people to tell their own stories?
By giving them concrete impulses through events, objects, myths and stories.
This is a fascinating and unique project, a truly multi-media programme, where drama, creative writing and visual art are combined, to form a fascinating process and final presentation.
"Creativity Explosion" is about wishes, dreams, changing the impossible into possible and the liberation of imagination. We can create the course around a particular theme of the school's choice, or we have a number of themes 'ready made'.
The project will have two main focal points -- the practical 'making' sessions, and the more analytical development of ideas and concepts. In a designated space we would create an "ARTSPACE" developing poetic visual and audible 'pictures' to act as stimulus material around which the work would develop. From there the students will begin their work...
The end products will be a book of Creative Writing and Poems, an art installation and a performance including storytelling, theatre, mask, music and dance.
Students will develop a range of transferable skills, which will be valuable across the curriculum. These include Language Skills, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving Confidence Building, Group Work, Verbal And non-verbal Communication Skills, Physical And Emotional Fitness.

Students will have the chance to present their work and achievements to their peers.
